Delete your account

You can delete your Scrounge account yourself, at any time, in the app.

Steps

1. Open Scrounge at scrounge.expo.app and sign in.
2. Tap Household at the top right.
3. Scroll to Your account and tap Delete my account.
4. Read what will be deleted for you.
5. Type DELETE, enter your password, and tap Delete my account.

If you aren't in a household, the Delete my account link is at the bottom of the "Set up your household" screen.

What gets deleted

• Always: your login, email address, name, password, sign-in sessions, and any invite codes you made that are still open.
• If other people are in your household: they keep the household and everything in it (pantry, shopping list, saved recipes, notes, stores, allergies, and diet). Items you added stay, without your name on them. If you were the owner, the member who joined earliest becomes the owner.
• If you're the only member: the household and everything in it is deleted too.

Deletion happens right away and can't be undone. Our providers may keep backup copies for a limited time until those backups are replaced.

Can't sign in?

First try Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. If that doesn't work, email hello@getscrounge.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm with you, then delete it.
