Common questions

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. We'll send a link to choose a new password. The link works once and lasts an hour. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

My sign-up code didn't arrive.

Check your spam folder and make sure the email address is right. On the code screen, you can tap Resend code once a minute, or Wrong email? Start over to fix the address.

How do I invite a family member?

Open Household (top right), then Invite people, and tap Create invite code. Share the code or link, or let them scan the QR code. Codes last 7 days.

How do I change our allergies or diet?

Open Household and scroll to Allergies or Diet. Changes apply to everyone in the household. The filters are an aid, not a guarantee; always check the recipe and product labels.

Why can't I find a recipe I expected?

Scrounge only shows recipes from public websites that publish their ingredients in a way it can read, and it hides recipes that don't fit your allergies, diet, kitchen tools, or filters. Some sites also ask not to be read by apps. Try different picks, or tap Show me new recipes.

How do I delete my account?

Open Household, then Your account, then Delete my account. See Delete your account for the steps and what gets deleted.

Is Scrounge free?

Yes. Scrounge is free to use.
